The journey of life is so beautiful, yet many of us have never truly seen it clearly.
We cross paths with so many beautiful souls. We encounter others who are the complete opposite—people we’d rather not recall for even a second. And with so many more, our interactions feel completely neutral. At least, that’s what we believe, right?
But there is always a reason we meet someone on this journey.
Someone enters our life for a few days, someone for a few months, someone for a few years, someone for decades, and someone forever.
Every encounter gives us a valuable lesson. We either learn that we want to be like them, or that we never want to end up like them.
But here is the thing we so easily forget: we are that same lesson for other people. They might be looking at us, deciding if they want to follow in our footsteps or avoid them altogether.
So please, be good to every human being you meet. Leave them with a reason to look up to you, or at least remember you with kindness.
We only get this one life to be good to another. The next life is unknown, and it’s unlikely we will ever remember who we were in the past. Make this one count.
